A FIVE-YEAR-OLD Irish boy has tragically died following an accident in Co. Roscommon on Sunday.
The incident occurred around 5.30pm when a young boy fell from a trailer on his farm in Tulsk and was fatally injured.
Emergency services were called and raced to the family's property, but the child was pronounced dead at the scene.
Gardai later confirmed that the boy had been taken to Roscommon University Hospital where a post-mortem examination will take place.
They also say that a file is to be prepared for the coroner and that the Health and Safety Authority has been informed and will conduct an investigation.
