Ireland's most popular tourist attractions have been revealed

HOW MANY of these iconic Irish places have you ticked off your bucket list?

Ireland is full of iconic landmarks, breathtaking natural beauty and savage days out, so if you're visiting the Emerald Isle and are finding it hard to choose where to spend your time, worry no more-- because there's now a list of the 10 best tourist attractions in Ireland.

From healthy mountain hikes to theme parks and zoos, The Irish Independent's annual Reader Travel Awards has revealed the best places to visit on our little island.

Ireland's Ancient East proves the most popular area by far, with six out of the top 10 finalists located in the province of Leinster.

Two County Clare entries gives Munster a boost, and locations in Donegal and Antrim gives two to Ulster, meaning Connacht is the only province without a winner-- which anyone who's ever been to the awe-inspiring Connemara will find strange, but it just goes to show just how many incredible places we have in Ireland.

The number one spot, though, won't come as any surprise-- can you guess what it is?
