GARDAÍ have revealed they seized about 30 pieces of weaponry and 1,000 rounds of ammunitions from Irish streets over the past two years.
The Irish police force unveiled the deadly haul this week - including sophisticated homemade weaponry, as well as an AK-47 rifle and rifle bullets.
The weapons were seized as part of on-going garda efforts to disrupt the activities of dissident republicans.
"I can say with confidence that our interventions and arrests have, without doubt, saved lives," said Assistant Garda Commissioner John O'Mahony.
"I don't say this lightly and I think the array of items on display demonstrates a lethal capability."
Gardaí said that the weapons and ammunition had been seized all over Ireland, including Cork, Waterford, Kildare and Louth.
One of the most potentially devastating discoveries was a homemade beer keg bomb, discovered in a raid in Kilcurry, Co. Louth in May 2014.
