AS people across Britain and Ireland welcome the hottest day of 2015, The Irish Post picks out its favourite snaps of those enjoying the sun!
Plenty of deck chairs, sun loungers and picnic mats have adorned parks and beaches nationwide, as sun-lovers look to make the most of the week's glorious sunshine.
According to the Met Office, temperatures in London are expected to peak at 34°C today, whilst Cardiff is set to reach 26°C and Dublin a high of 24°C.
Public Health England has advised avoiding exposure to the sun between 11am and 3pm.
However the soaring temperatures aren't a continuing theme in Scotland, where forecasters have predicted thunderstorms and torrential downpours.
