SHANE LYNCH had Boyzone fans reaching for the sofa cushion following a hilariously cringeworthy TV interview.
Appearing alongside guest present Christine Lampard on the flagship ITV chat show Lorraine, Lynch was appeared to talk about his new show, Scrapyard Supercar.
But rather than discuss the inner workings of the show, which sees amateur car enthusiasts raiding scrapyards to construct a car to take on one of the singer’s supercars, Shane instead used the appearance to discuss the fact he was hungover.
Attempting to get the interview off to a good start, Christine said: "You've just come back from Belfast..."
But before she could say anymore, the Boyzone man jumped in.
"No I haven't come back from Belfast, I'm still there,” he said.
“The morning, everyone is up drinking coffee, it's early, it is still Saturday for me.”
Lynch wasn’t done there though.
He continued: "The last ever show we played was in Belfast, and the people blew my mind. They blew it so much, I haven't slept for 48 hours."
Laughing awkwardly, Christine could do little to curtail Lynch as he continued to answer her questions in a roundabout way for the remainder of the interview.
Fans were quick to notice the Irishman’s amusingly erratic behaviour.
"Starting the week with a car crash interview, sets the tone for the week,” one tweeted.
"Christine is very twitchy interviewing a seemingly hungover and no filter Shane,” another added.
“Shane Lynch completely sh*t faced,” a third said.
He must have one almighty headache right about now.
