A COUNTRY-WIDE search is underway to find a mystery millionaire who landed an enormous Irish Lotto prize in Glasgow.
The Ladbrokes customer is seemingly unaware of their £1,018,020 prize, after placing a £12 bet in the Westmuir Street branch in the city’s east end.
The winner continues a successful win for the Scots, as he or she becomes the country’s third betting millionaire in the last week.
A Ladbrokes spokeswoman said: “The customer wasn’t one of our regulars so we have no idea who he or she is. That’s why we are appealing for information to track them down.
“They might not know they have won so we are hoping they have kept a hold of their ticket. We hope we might see them come back to the branch on Wednesday.”
The Irish Lotto win comes after a £33m National Lottery windfall in Hawick and a £2.2m online casino jackpot win in Tayside.
Alex Donohue of Ladbrokes added: “Scotland is on a winning streak at the moment but the country’s latest millionaire may still be none the wiser.
“It’s a life-changing sum of money and we’ve got a cheque ready to hand over to the lucky recipient, so we’d suggest everyone looks down the back of the sofa for the winning ticket.”
