POLICE have confirmed at least 20 people are dead and more than 100 injured after a mass shooting at a Country music festival in the US.
As many as 40,000 people had been enjoying the final night of the Route 91 Harvest festival by the Mandalay Bay Hotel on the city’s strip when gunfire broke out at around 11pm Las Vegas time.
Police said the suspect, a local resident who was reportedly on the 32nd floor of the Mandalay Bay Hotel, has been shot dead but they are still looking for a woman who was with the shooter.
A former firefighter who witnessed the attack described it as a 'war scene'.
