Homeless dad-of-two has turn of fortune after handwritten CV goes viral

A YOUNG homeless man in Liverpool may see his fortunes turn around, after handing his CV to a passer-by.

Aaron O’Dwyer, an 18-year-old student from Runcorn, was handed a sheet of paper by a homeless man in Liverpool last week and he took to social media to share the touching story.

The man, 20-year-old Jordan Lockett, wrote: “I’m sick of wasting away now.”

He ended his CV with: “Very fast learner and hard worker. Can I afford not to be? Any chances?”

The father-of-two had been sleeping on the streets for over a year, following a family breakdown, The Liverpool Echo reports.

Since O’Dwyer shared the CV on Twitter last week it has gone viral – and as a result, things may be turning around for Jordan Lockett.

Locals in Liverpool have since got in touch with various offers for Lockett.

In the days after the CV went viral, Lockett was offered a bed and a roof over his head for the first time in months – while others have offered him work.

One business, Alliance Couriers, tweeted O’Dwyer: “We would be happy to offer him a job if you make contact.”

Lockett eventually decided to take up the offer of a trial at a busy city centre bar in Liverpool on Friday (July 16) – and told The Liverpool Echo that he wants to make his children proud.
