AS Liverpool hosts its first Darkness into Light event to benefit suicide prevention charity, Pieta House, here are the other locations where you can join the action.
LIVERPOOL
The DIL Liverpool walk will kick off at St Michael’s Irish Centre in Boundary Lane at 4.15am and make its way through Newsham Park before finishing back the centre. Those who wish to take part can register through Pieta House or at St Michael’s Irish Centre (0151 263 1808) on the morning of the walk.
LONDON
The DIL London walk starts at 4.15am at the Crown Moran Hotel, Cricklewood before heading towards Gladstone Park and around the jewel of Dollis Hill before finishing back at the Crown Moran. For more information or to register contact Tara Cronin on 07939 017022 or email [email protected].
MANCHESTER
The DIL Manchester walk starts at 4.30am at the Irish World Heritage Centre before heading to Queens Road to the former IWHC and turning left along Cheetham Hill Road, onto the A665 after the Park Inn Hotel and then onto the A664 heading towards Style Street, on to Danzic Street, Collyhurst Street and back uphill via Queens Road before finishing at the Irish World Heritage Centre. GLASGOW
The DIL Glasgow walk takes place from 4am starting at Congress Road (beside The Finnieston Crane) and then heading along the River Clyde towards the city before crossing the Tradeston Bridge, down the A8 to Govan Road and then back along the River Clyde, across the Millennium Bridge before finishing at the Finnieston Crane. ABERDEEN
The DIL Aberdeen walk starts at 4.15am at RGU SPORT, heading down Garthdee Road, on to Montrose Drive, the Kaimhill Area and heading towards Pitfodels Station Road before going back to Robert Gordon University Campus at Grays School of Art and finishing at RGU SPORT.
