A NEW website has been created to offer guidance to the Irish public on how far they can roam from home while the current Covid-19 restrictions are in place.
As of midnight, this past Friday, March 27, people across Ireland were ordered to remain indoors for the next two weeks to help slow the spread of coronavirus.
The public are allowed to outside but only if shopping for essential items, dealing with a medical issue or undertaking brief physical exercise.
And the rules on exercise extend further, with people ordered not to go more than 2km from their homes and adhere to strict social distancing guidelines that dictate people must remain two metres apart at all times.
However, with some expressing confusion as to where exactly they can go when running, cycling or otherwise exercising, a new website has been set up to offer easy to understand guidance on the boundaries.
2kmfromhome.com lets users select their exact location on a map, allowing them to get a clear idea of where and where they can’t go.
With parents also allowed to take their children with them during gentle exercise like dog walking, the website is a handy tool to ensure everyone does their bit to help stop the spread of coronavirus.
Head over to 2kmfromhome.com to find out how far you can roam over the next two weeks.
