Singer Kelsey Karter gets Harry Styles’ face tattooed on her face in bizarre birthday tribute

A BUDDING musician has gone to extreme lengths to try and snag a collaboration with One Direction heartthrob Harry Styles.

Born in New Zealand but currently based out in LA, Kelsy Karter is a 24-year-old recording artist with a singular vision: to one day work with Styles.

In fact, Karter is so desperate to team-up with the British pop favourite she’s only gone and got a picture of his face tattooed onto her cheek.

It’s all part of a careful campaign to try and get the X Factor star’s attention with the tattoo unveiled on Styles birthday, no less.

Inked by tattoo artist Romeo Lacoste, the results really are a sight to behold, having been uploaded to Karter’s Instagram account.

Posing in two snaps shared on her Instagram grid, the New Zealander wrote: "Mama, look what i made me do".

Karter previously teased the plans for the tattoo on Twitter, writing : "Finally know what I'm getting Harry for his birthday..."

She’s made no secret of her enduring love for Styles either, tell i-D back in July:

"What I love about him from a professional standpoint is that he was the poppiest of pop stars, and then he went off on his own and made a classic rock album.

"For someone like me who wants to live in that world who hasn’t been in a boy band, he has opened the door for me. He’s introduced the kids to the kind of music I want to make.

"For that, I’m really grateful. I also just want his career. I feel like I’m a female version."

There’s just one problem: it’s not entirely clear whether Karter and Styles have actually met at any point.

It's not known whether Kelsy and Harry know each other or have even met before.

Karter’s tattoo could yet prove to be a clever marketing ploy though – she has just released a music video for her new single, Catch Me If You Can, after all.
