Gardaí's huge drugs find after arresting speeding uninsured driver on suspicion of drink driving

A MAN is due in court in Ireland today after €38,000 worth of suspected cannabis was seized from his car.

One would think if you are allegedly transporting drugs, you would try to draw as little attention to yourself as possible.

However the driver was initially pulled over by gardaí in Cahir, Co. Tipperary yesterday for exceeding the speed limit on the M8 motorway.

The Tipperary Star reports that the 39-year-old male was then arrested for having no insurance, no road tax and on suspicion of drink driving.

After searching the seized car and the driver, gardaí then discovered suspected cannabis with a street value of €38,000.

The suspect is due to appear before a special sitting of Cashel District Court today.
