Gardaí release man suspected of murder of Englishman in rural Ireland

STILL no conviction in the case of Cork murder.

Gardaí have released without charge a man in his 20's, arrested yesterday on suspicion of carrying out the murder of John Ustic in Skibbereen, Co. Cork on the morning of September 25th this year.

The man was arrested in Co. Tipperary and detained at Bandon Garda Station in West Cork overnight, where he was questioned by authorities regarding the brutal murder.

John Ustic, who was 51 years old, died while making his way home in the town of Skibbereen on the night of September 24th, as a result of traumatic injuries he received earlier that evening in a nearby car park. His body was discovered around 9 am on the morning of the 25th by his partner.

The deceased Englishman is understood to have moved to the town of Skibbereen several years ago.

A file will now be prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions, and the search for the murderer will continue.
