GARDAÍ have launched two separate investigations after the sudden deaths of two men in Donegal and Mayo.
The body of a 35-year-old man was found at a house in Cappry, Ballybofey, Co. Donegal, on Saturday morning.
He has been named locally as James Devlin, who was originally from Glasgow but had lived in the area for a number of years.
It is understood that Mr Devlin had been attending a party at the house.
His body was taken to Letterkenny University Hospital where a post-mortem is expected to take place today.
The property has been sealed off and a full investigation has been launched.
'Open mind'
Gardaí are also investigating the discovery of an older man in Charlestown, Co. Mayo, saying they are keeping an "open mind" over his death.
The man, aged in his 50s, was found dead at a flat on Main Street in the town shortly after 1.40pm on Sunday.
His body was taken to Mayo General Hospital Hospital where a post-mortem is due to be carried out today.
It is understood that the deceased was a Polish national who had been living in Mayo for some time.
The alarm was raised by local residents who became concerned after they hadn't seen him in recent days.
Gardaí said the results of the post-mortem examinations will determine the nature of their investigations.
