Gardaí launch appeal as fears grow for Margaret Chawke, missing for 3 months

GARDAÍ HAVE said they are 'very concerned' for the welfare of a woman in her 50's who has not been seen since St Patrick's Day.

50-year-old Maragaret Chawke has been missing from the Dublin 2 area for three months, having last been seen on St Patrick's Day, 17 March.

Her disappearance is understood to have been reported to Gardaí on 25 May, and extensive investigations have been since carried out to locate Ms Chawke but to now avail.

Gardaí are now asking for the public's assistance in locating Ms Chawke, and have said in a statement that they are 'very concerned' for her safety.

The Dublin woman is described in a Garda statement as being of slim build, with brown hair and brown eyes.

Ms CHawke is known to frequent the Dublin city area, and citizens from that area in particular are urged to keep an eye out for Ms Chawke.
