Gardaí issue urgent appeal as concerns grow for man missing from Galway since December

AN GARDA Siochána have issued an urgent appeal for information following the disappearance of a man from Galway.

Luke Davoren, 34, has not been seen since the end of December 2020.

Gardaí have said they are increasingly concerned for Mr Davoren's welfare, and have asked the public to keep an eye out for the missing man.

The 34-year-old was last seen in the early hours of December 30, when he was spotted in the University Road area of Galway city, close to NUI Galway.

Mr Davoren is described as being 6 feet in height, with an athletic build and short fair hair; an image of the missing man, released via the Garda Press Office, can be seen below.

He is also believed to have had a black backpack in his possession at the time of his disappearance.

Both Gardaí and Mr Davoren's family say they are "very concerned" for his welfare and have urged him to get in touch.

In a new appeal for information, Gardaí have asked anyone who may have information regarding Mr Davoren's whereabouts, particularly any road users with dash cam footage of the Newcastle/University Road areas between 1am - 2am on December 30, to come forward.
