The second car was found 'tailgating' the first.
Officers in Letterkenny, County Donegal have asked drivers to pay extra attention to their driving.
The appeal comes as two drivers have been given fixed charge notices for breaking rules while on the road.
Two drivers were found driving at 134km/h in a 100 km/h zone, which lead to penalties for both drivers.
Writing on the Garda Traffic account, Gardaí shared: "Letterkenny Roads Policing Unit stop two vehicles travelling at 134km/h in a 100km/h zone. The second car was tailgating the first.
"Fixed charge notices to issue for speeding & driving without due care and attention. Please slow down this weekend & stay safe!", they added.
