Officers working at the road policing unit found the driver with no tax or insurance, but that was just the tip of the iceberg.
Gardai in Cork city found a driver with no NCT, tax or insurance but upon first inspection, half of the windscreen caved in.
At a checkpoint in the Rebel county, the motorist in question was found to have no valid details and also half a windscreen.
Tweeting from the Garda Traffic account: "Whilst we we would recommend keeping cool in the hot weather... this is a bit much. Cork City RPU stopped this 'car' at #OperationThor checkpoint. No Tax/Ins/NCT & only 1/2 a windscreen! Very dangerous to all on the roads. Car seized, court to follow."
