Gardaí appeal for information regarding Dublin shooting

THE DEATH of Derek Hutch has sparked a response from An Garda Síochána.

Hutch was reportedly sitting in his car in a halting site in the area of Ronanstown in west Dublin before his death yesterday.

It’s understood the gunman shot the driver at point-blank range, killing him upon contact at approximately 3pm.

Two passengers that were sitting in the car with the driver were left unharmed by the attack, however, their driver was shot dead. They tried to resuscitate Hutch, but to no avail.

Hutch was 27 years old before his death, incurred by being shot three times in the head and died instantly from his injuries.

A black VW Golf, believed to have been the getaway car for the murderer was found burnt out in a nearby industrial estate in Ronanstown.

The murder of Hutch brings the total count of lives claimed by the feud as 14.

According to Journal.ieGardaí are appealing to people in the area with any information to come forward, particularly those who may have dashcam footage in their possession.

Gardaí are asking anyone who was in the Cloverhill Road area between the hours of 1pm and 3pm and possibly spotted a black Volkswagen Golf with a registration of 05-CE-1675 and a black Toyota Avensis with a registration of 04-D-72956 to come forward.
