FIRE fighters are tackling a blaze in an apartment block in Manchester’s Northern Quarter.
Twelve fire engines are at the scene on Joiner Street, where the fire broke out on the ninth floor.
It is believed the blaze has now spread to the tenth floor of the 12-storey building.
Roads around the area have been sealed off, while the fire service has advised nearby residents to keep windows and doors shut.
