THE DUBLIN FIRE BRIGADE is battling a gorse fire in the Dublin mountains.
Four units, including one high-volume pump unit, have been sent to tackle the blaze near Ticknock.
However further engines have been requested to assist the firefighters from Tallaght, Rathfarnham and Dun Laoghaire at the scene.

A drone has also been deployed to help direct operations.
Barnacullia Road is closed towards the Blue Light, while those downwind of the fire are urged to close their windows.
