KILLEEN House Hotel, one of Ireland’s top country house hotels, is on the market for the first time in 25 years.
Located in Aghadoe, Killarney, the hotel is a recent winner of the Hotel and Catering Review Gold Star Award for Best Three Star in Ireland.
But current owners Michael and Geraldine Rosney, who have run The Killeen House over the past 25 years, have decided now was the time to hang up their hotel boots.
“Geraldine and I have worked hard over the last quarter century to create a unique hospitality product, and we are very proud of where we have brought The Killeen House to in that period," Mr Rosney said.
“For a variety of different reasons, we feel now is the right time to put it on the market and we look forward to seeing the next chapter in the life and times of the Killeen House unfolding in the years to come.”
The hotel, which has 23 guest bedrooms, is currently rated as number three of 102 hotels in Co. Kerry on TripAdvisor.
It also comes with a highly-rated restaurant called Rozzers Restaurant, TripAdvisor's best restaurant in Killarney and number two of 526 restaurants in Kerry overall.
Dave Murray, Director at Christie & Co in Ireland who have been charged with selling the hotel, said: “The Killeen House Hotel & Rozzers Restaurant is a beautifully-presented property with a very well deserved reputation as one of the best hotels and restaurants in the entire Kerry region.
“It presents prospective purchasers with a very strong and well-established trading business with potential to lengthen the trading season, as well as extend the property subject to planning permission.
"Due to the considerable amount of investment that the site has received over the past decade, it will need no major investment in the foreseeable future.”
Killeen House Hotel & Rozzers Restaurant is offered for sale with a guide price in excess of €1.95million.
