Family's nationwide search for Irish man who left home 32 years ago

THE family and friends of an Irish man who left home to start a new life in Britain 32 years ago are desperately trying to track him down.

Michael Kennedy (pictured) was born on April 30, 1953 and comes from Crumlin in Dublin.

He left Dublin on January 6, 1983 and hasn't had any contact with his family in Ireland since.

His family believe he sailed to Britain but have no idea what happened to him after that.

A friend of Michael's brother, Matthew Kennedy, contacted The Irish Community & Cultural Affairs Unit at The Irish Embassy in London to appeal for help in England.

Michael's mother is now 93 and she and his surviving brother Matthew would "dearly love to see him again".

"His mother is very old and obviously we don't know how much time she has left so its important to find her son as soon as possible", the friend acting on behalf of the family wrote.

The family have already made contact with the Salvation Army and the Irish Centre in London to no avail.

If you information that would be of help please contact The Irish Post on 020 89004182 or The Irish Embassy on 020 72352171
