Family appeal for 'disgusting animals' who stabbed teen to death to be brought to justice

THE family of a teenager who was stabbed to death last month have paid tribute to their "funny, quick-witted" boy.

Brandon Regan's body was found in the garden of a property on Critchley Road in Speke, Liverpool on Monday, January 29.

A murder investigation was launched, with Detective Chief Inspector John Webster stating: “To be launching an investigation into the murder of a 17-year-old boy on the streets of Merseyside is an appalling tragedy, and the family and friends of Brandon will be understandably devastated as they try to come to terms with their loss."

A post mortem examination later confirmed that Brandon died from stab wounds.

Five men and one woman have since been arrested in connection with the the teenager's death, and subsequently released on bail.

A vehicle suspected of being used in the offence has also been forensically recovered pending further enquiries.

Today Brandon's family, who hail from Speke, have issued a tribute and emotional appeal for information in relation to his murder.

"Brandon is the life and soul of our family. He is so funny. Always has us laughing. We miss his personality, his quick wit. He loves his hair and always had it in perfect condition," they said.

"Brandon is a son, brother, uncle, cousin and friend to many. Our family is completely broken by this.

"We would like to take this opportunity to thank the community, which has been amazing. Hundreds attended his peaceful ride out and also the vigil to release balloons in honour of his memory.

"Brandon’s loved by everyone who knows him and this is proven by his memorial/shrine outside his Mum’s house."

They added: "Those who have helped with information we thank. We also ask others who have information to please step forward and bring these disgusting animals to justice. Speke will be a much better and safer place with these people off the streets.

"We need to get the individuals responsible, off the streets, as they could do this to someone else's son and we would never want anyone to feel the pain that we are going through. It's an unbearable pain. They've ripped a hole in our hearts that will never heal.

"This could have happened to anyone's child. Do not let this happen again.

"Please help us get justice for Brandon."
