MOBILE PHONE COMPANY THREE customer Caoimhe Ní Chathail, encountered a problem on Monday, May 30 when attempting to enter her last name into an online form on the mobile company's website.
After failing to get the website to accept her Irish name, Caoimhe Ní Chathail, the Irish language speaker took to Twitter to vent her frustration.
This is how that conversation went...
"You must provide a valid last name" is what @ThreeCare 's website says when I try to top up using my name in Irish, the only version

A customer service rep from Three responded with the helpful suggestion that she translate her name to English

Three backed down, apologising for any offence and suggesting a solution would be on the cards soon, but the argument had already sparked plenty of debate and the hashtag #NíMéCaoimheCahill
