ED Sheeran gave a fan a special surprise yesterday in Canada – when he joined her for a duet of one of his most popular songs.
The singer was taking some time out in the West Edmonton Mall in Alberta when he heard 13-year-old Sydney Bourbeau belting out her rendition of his hit Thinking Out Loud.
Unbeknownst to the young girl, her idol hopped up on stage beside her and joined in.
The Yorkshire singer, whose grandparents come from Derry and Wexford, is in Canada for the latest leg of his tour.
Sydney’s surprise did not end when Ed left the stage though – his manager phoned her mother later that evening and offered her two tickets to his gig in Rexall Hall, Edmonton, on Sunday.
