AN IRISHMAN has gone viral after trying to return a stolen pancake to its 'owner' after a seagull dropped it in his Dublin garden.
He hilariously tried to launch a campaign to reunite the pancake with its initial patron, posting a photo of the rather crestfallen crêpe on Twitter asking if anyone in the Dublin 7 area was missing it.
At the time of writing, the pancake remains unclaimed and sadly hasn't been returned.
"If anyone is missing a pancake in the Dublin 7 area, a seagull just dropped it onto our garden," wrote the pancake finder.

A woman replied saying a bird had dropped a headless eel into her patio a few weeks back, and that the pancake retriever should count himself lucky that such a tasty treat should appear in his garden, rather than something out of a horror film.
"Be glad you never lived beside the Thames. This is a 2 foot headless eel that a seagull dropped into my enclosed courtyard one balmy 36°C day in London," she wrote.
"A seagull stole my BLT once when I was in New Zealand," another person replied.
Now would that supremely piss you off?
Birds in New Zealand are awful, stealing BLTs, refusing to carry you to Mount Doom until the very last second...
