DUBLIN is the top-rated city in Britain and Ireland to live in, after being ranked 34th in a global survey.
It placed ahead of London and Belfast, whilst Vienna, Austria, was voted the most attractive city to live in, according to Mercer’s 2015 Quality of Living rankings.
Overall, 230 global cities featured in the list.
Noel O'Connor from Mercer said there were many reasons why Dublin polled well.
"It has high standards in cost of living, low levels of pollution, a wide choice of consumer goods and good access to cultural activities (as well as) a relatively stable natural environment," he said.
In Britain, London (40) is the highest-ranking city, followed by Birmingham (52), Glasgow (55), Aberdeen (57), and Belfast (63).
Factors such as school and education, housing, economic environment and public services were considered when ranking the cities.
