The fire brigade launched a campaign in a bid to crack down on the use of fireworks.
Dublin Fire Brigade held a live demonstration to show the effects fireworks can have on people.
Firefighters urged that children may not know the contents of the fireworks they set off and advised people to attend council organised firework display for extra caution.
