DUBLIN Fire Brigade have been praised after coming to the rescue of a pregnant woman in labour.
Balbriggan Fire Crew, based in north Co Dublin, came to the rescue of mum Alexandra at her home as her new son Adam made a speedy entrance last night, November 26.
The crew assisted the new mother before the ambulance could arrive.
Tweeting last night, Dublin Fire Brigade said: "Congratulations to mum Alexandra and baby Adam whom made a speedy entrance this evening.
"Mum was aided by the crew of Balbriggan Fire Station prior to arrival of our Swords ambulance.
"Mum and baby fit and well," they said.
