Dublin Fire Brigade appeals for help after equipment stolen while they assisted a cardiac arrest

DUBLIN FIRE Brigade has launched an appeal for help in locating two pieces of equipment that were stolen off a fire engine while the fire crew was assisting a cardiac arrest.

The capital's firefighting service took to Twitter to call for help in locating the items.

They were taken while the fire crew attended to an individual who had suffered a cardiac arrest at a pun on Fassaugh Avenue in Dublin.

A picture of the two pieces of equipment was posted alongside the plea which asked, "if you have seen, or know where the equipment is please get in contact."

The appeal, which came via the official Dublin Fire Brigade twitter account, has been met with angry reactions from many who have been left shocked by the theft.

"It is indefensible behaviour," one follower wrote.

"Wtf is wrong with people. Any person who would do this has absolutely no moral compass," another added.

Dubliners are being encouraged to retweet the appeal in the hope that whoever stole the potentially expensive equipment returns it immediately.

Without the equipment, there is a concern that the important life-saving work of the service may be hindered or prohibited altogether.
