FIRE crews in Dublin are currently battling a gorse fire and fear the dry weather could result in further blazes.
The Dublin Fire Brigade first attended the blaze in Howth in the early hours of this morning.
Two engines and a water tanker have been despatched to the scene as fire fighters from Kilbarrack and North Strand battle the fire.
On twitter, the service revealed they are expecting further gorse fires given the current dry weather.

Met Éireann has forecast a dry, warm day for the region with temperatures reaching 22 degrees Celsius and a possibility of light winds.
However the forecast adds there is a chance of heavy showers later in the afternoon or early evening.
It is the third gorse fire Dublin Fire Brigade have tackled in the last 36 hours, following blazes at Ticknock in the Dublin Mountains and the suburb of Sutton.
