"YOU'LL DO NOTHING!"
Conor McGregor appears to have announced the date and location of his first UFC fight in almost a year.
The MMA fighter took to twitter early this morning to tweet three simple words:
“Dublin, December 14th.”
Dublin, December 14th.
— Conor McGregor (@TheNotoriousMMA) September 16, 2019
McGregor has been under pressure to get back into the octagon recently as he has been drawing criticism and losing fans due to his behaviour—most recently, his infamous punching of an elderly man in a pub because he wouldn’t drink McGregor’s own-brand Proper 12 Whiskey.
McGregor’s last UFC match was in October 2018 against rival Khabib Nurmagomedov, which he lost., meaning that if the December 14th date is indeed the date of his next fight, it will be his first in over a year.
The Dubliner will now be looking to hype up his fanbase and gain back respect from people who have since dismissed him.
Reactions under his announcement included gibes from trolls seeking to remind him about his infamous bar punching incident...
But there were plenty ready to support the former champion and hope that the announcement is the beginning of his return to glory.
While there has not yet been any official confirmation from McGregor or his management, it's looking very likely that The Notorious will be back to fight-- and this time, on Irish soil.
