Drunk London-Irish family cause chaos on Ryanair flight from Ireland

A COURT has heard how a London-Irish family caused drunken chaos on a flight home from a wake in Dublin.

The McDonagh family downed cans of Guinness, urinated on the floor and fell into a passenger on the Ryanair flight to Stansted airport, Highbury Magistrates Court heard.

Father-of-two Michael McDonagh, 28, and 10 of his relatives were said to be in high spirits during the journey.

McDonagh, of Glendish Road, Tottenham, stood shouting in the middle of the aircraft before he dashed down the aisle and hit a woman passenger.

He previously pleaded guilty to recklessly or negligently endangering an aircraft or person in an aircraft.

He was sentenced this week to a 12-month supervision order, six-month alcohol treatment order and was ordered to pay £100 compensation, £85 costs and £60 victim surcharge.
