Heroin and cocaine was found in the seizure.
The Terenure District Drugs Unit targeting the sale and supply of controlled drugs in the Rathmines area of Dublin were carrying out searches yesterday evening before they made the discovery.
In the investigation, a house was searched in the Tallaght area where heroin and cocaine was seized with an estimated street value of over €500,000.
A 47 year old man was arrested at the scene in connection with this investigation.
He is currently detained at Terenure Garda Station under the provisions of Section 2- Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act, 1996.
Investigations are continuing.
