A NUMBER of residents have been evacuated from their homes in an area of Derry, Northern Ireland after a suspicious device was discovered.
The object was discovered in Drumleck Drive in the Shantallow area of the city early this morning.
A number of people were ordered to leave their homes and are now being accommodated in the nearby Shantallow Community Centre.
Police officers are at the scene and the area has been cordoned off.
