RONAN KEATING's daughter Ali Keating was seriously injured while riding her horse, Red, in competition it was revealed at the weekend.
The 12-year-old suffered multiple broken bones in the fall from her horse on Tuesday but was released from home on Saturday.
Yvonne Connolly, Ronan's former wife, revealed the injury on Instagram after posting a picture of her daughter recovering in hospital late last week.
"Last weekend Ali had her first show on her new pony, Red," Connolly posted on the social media website. "After a cruel turn of events Ali ended up in hospital on Tuesday after a fall from him (Not his fault)."
She added that her youngest daughter - and Ronan's third of four children - was heartbroken from having to take time out from riding. "Just home today. She’s now out of the saddle for 8-10 weeks and missing lots of competitions we had coming up. To say she is devastated is an understatement. 💔"
Ali also needed surgery to reset a number of broken bones after the accident, her mother also revealed: "After hours of surgery to repair broken bones she hopes to come back stronger."
