A NEW REPORT by the Central Bank has revealed that almost one-third of Credit Union staff members in Ireland have won big prizes in the institution's prize draws.
The report has uncovered some major misconduct on the part of one of Ireland’s longstanding financial institutions.
The Central Bank report reviewed the draws which took place over the period of October 2014 to March 2017.
Despite 446,000 members taking part in 128 draws, staff or board members won prizes in 30% of draws. Some of these prizes included cars.
According to BreakingNews.ie, the investigation was launched following the €2 million financial scandal in 2016 surrounding the now-defunct Rush Credit Union when winners of 15 car draws could not be located by investigators.
