CONOR MCGREGOR has revealed the staggering amount his new whiskey has made over the past 12 months – and the final sum may leave you in need of a stiff drink.
The Irishman already ranks among the wealthiest celebrities on the planet, with Forbes estimating the Notorious has a personal fortune in excess of $99 million.
That makes him the 12th richest celebrity on the planet and the fourth richest sportsmen behind Floyd Mayweather, Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo.
But those numbers could be subject to change if the figures being quoted by McGregor are anything to go by.
Launched just seven months ago, McGregor’s Proper No 12 whiskey has proven a huge hit, with bottles of the spirit flying off the shelves in a matter of days.
Now the Notorious has revealed that the whiskey has raked in an astonishing $1billion, or £763.6million through sales alone.
Taking to Instagram, the Irishman broke the news regarding the astonishing sales figures:
"Over $1b generated in Whiskey sales in my first year! Like it or not, there is a new King in town! Proper Whiskey, liquid sunshine!"
A portion of the money raised from sales of the whiskey has already been pledged to first responders in the US.
And with no let-up in demand for the new whiskey, a new batch of Proper No.12 is already in production.
All this despite initial reviews for McGregor’s whiskey being decidedly mixed.
