CONOR MCGREGOR has issued a message of support to the people of America as the race to decide the next US President hots up.
Several key swing states are expected to announce their results today with Joe Biden the slight favourite to replace Donald Trump in the White House.
But rather than nailing his colours to the mast of either candidate, McGregor sought to send a message of encouragement to his fans on the other side of the Atlantic.
Taking to Twitter, the Notorious wrote: "God bless America, land that I love Stand beside her and guide her Through the night with the light from above."

McGregor’s comments stand in contrast to many famous faces from across the world of sport and entertainment, who have been quick to come out in favour of one candidate or the other.
The remarks also came just a few hours after Trump broke his silence to accuse “big tech, big money, the media, pollsters and Democrats” of rigging the election against him.
Trump made the remarks without providing any evidence of corruption in a move that forced many US networks to interrupt his address to explain he was making several unsubstantiated claims.
By contrast, Biden has been calling for calm and patience while votes are counted.
“Democracy is sometimes messy. It sometimes requires a little patience as well,” he said during an address from Wilmington's Queen theater.
“So I ask everyone to stay calm, all people to stay calm. The process is working. The count is being completed and we'll know very soon.”
