A PAIR of twins who captured everyone's hearts when they revealed their very interesting secret to a long life have celebrated their 96th birthday.
Lil Cox and Doris Hobday, from Tipton in England, went viral in September last year when they famously told ITV's This Morning that the secret to a long life was "no sex and plenty of Guinness".
(We're pretty sure people will have no problem taking up at least one part of the twins' advice.)
The hilarious women then made a reappearance in the public eye earlier this year when they described life under lockdown to Piers Morgan and Susana Reid on Good Morning Britain -- thankfully, they were both doing brilliantly.
And when asked again what the secret to a long life was, they changed their answer slightly...
"Plenty of sex!" Lil immediately shouted. "And no Guinness!"
Doris was quick to correct her, angrily snapping "No, no, no!" as Morgan burst into peals of laughter in the studio.
"It's no sexy, plenty of Guinness," Doris clarified.
Yesterday, 20 July, Doris and Lil celebrated their 96th birthday-- thanks to all the guinness they drink, of course-- and told The Mirror they plan to live to the age of 100, God willing.
Doris told the outlet they were proud to celebrate their 96th birthday together, and "We will definitely be having a 100th birthday party".
Lil, however said that while they would "love to live to 100, it's not up to us, it's up to him upstairs.
"But we both feel fit as a fiddle."
And what do the 96 year olds want as a birthday present? Well, a date with Fast and Furious star Jason Statham, of course.
Lil's granddaughter Kerry Clarke, 35, said they weren't sure how they would arrange a date between her grandmother and the film star, but "They'd love to walk the red carpet with him."
"Perhaps we can get him when he's next in England for a premiere."
Lil said "I would like to meet Jason Statham, if only to shake his hand-- as we can't do a lot more at our age. Or can we?"
