A MAN in his early 30’s has been arrested on suspicion of a public order offence after he was stopped in his van near Buckingham Police.
The Metropolitan Police confirmed that officers were called to Birdcage Walk, at the junction with Spur Road earlier this morning, following reports of a suspicious vehicle.
The area was cordoned off while the white Ford Transit van was then searched by police.
A Scotland Yard spokesman said: “A vehicle was stopped and a man in his early 30’s arrested on suspicion of a public order offence.
“The vehicle he was driving, a white Ford Transit, was deemed suspicious.
“Road closures and cordons are in place while the vehicle is assessed.”
The vehicle was found to be unsuspicious and traffic returned to affected roads later this morning.
