LONDON BRIDGE has been evacuated following a 'serious incident'.
An incident is currently unfolding on London Bridge with witness reports of at least two shots fired.
At least five people have been injured following what police are calling a 'stabbing incident'.
Early reports indicated that one man, who may have been attacking people on the bridge, has been shot by police, however the Metropolitan Police have said that one man has been detained.
At approximately 2.10pm this afternoon, London Metropolitan Police confirmed they were dealing with an 'incident' on London Bridge and urged anyone near the scene to follow the directions of officers on the ground.
A heavy police presence remains on the bridge, which has been cordoned off on both sides.
Ambulances are also attending the scene, and a police helicopter can be seen hovering nearby.
Videos posted on social media by eyewitnesses shows armed police pointing weapons at at least one person lying on the ground.

People have been urged to avoid the area if possible and have been told to stay away from windows.
