BONO HAS produced a list celebrating the inspirational Irish musicians and songs that have provided the soundtrack to his life.
The U2 frontman turned 60 this weekend and while lockdown restrictions prevented him from marking the occasion with a big party, he’s been busy shining a light on some of his biggest Irish influences and contemporaries.
Speaking to Ryan Tubridy on RTÉ Radio 1 Bono said he had been busy “reading” and “writing” as well as “making lists” including one focused on his favourite Irish songs from over the years.
Dubbed “The Full Irish” the playlist features familiar favourites from the likes of The Undertones, Thin Lizzy, Sinead O’Connor, The Boomtown Rats and The Pogues.
