Body of man washed up on Irish tourist beach identified one month on from discovery

A MAN who had washed up dead on a popular tourist beach in Ireland has been identified one month after his body was discovered. 

Photographs of the the clothes worn by the previously unidentified man, who was discovered on March 27 on Bray beach in Co. Wicklow, had been released earlier this month.

Irish police released the pictures of the clothes he was wearing at the time of the discovery in an effort to identify him.

The man was described as white, 6ft 1, in his early 40’s, with blue eyes, a very slim build with dark brown hair greying around the temple.

The clothes he was wearing at the time included a green and brown camouflage jacket and rucksack, blue jeans and black runner boots.

A pair of glasses were also found in his rucksack, as well as a copy of a Spike Milligan book.

An Garda Síochána confirmed to The Irish Post that the body was positively identified yesterday, April 25.
