AN investigation has been launched after the body of a man was found inside a house by Gardaí.
The man, aged in his 30s, was found dead at a house on St Francis Street in Edenderry, Co. Offaly at around 11.45am yesterday.
The road was closed following the discovery but has since reopened.
It's believed the man may have been dead for some time, according to the Leinster Express.
His body was later removed to the morgue at the Midland Regional Hospital in Tullamore.
A post-mortem examination was due to take place at some point today.
Gardaí say the result of the examination will determine the course of their investigation.
