A BODY has been found in Dublin woodland during a planned search for missing Irish woman Linda Christian.
Gardaí in Ireland and the fammily of Linda Christian had reissued an appeal for her whereabouts last Saturday, July 15.
Ms Christian, 29, was last seen three weeks ago on June 24 in Blanchardstown, west Dublin wearing a green bomber jacket, blue jeans and carrying a pink gym bag.
Following an investigation into her disappearance, gardaí from the Divisional search team carried out a planned search of the Coolmine woodland area near Blanchardstown on July 17.
CCTV examined by gardaí in relation to her disappearance had identified the woodland area as the last place Ms Christian was seen, according to RTÉ.
Shortly after 2pm, officers discovered female remains in an area of undergrowth between Clonsilla Road and Snugborough Rd.
A formal identification is yet to be made.
An Garda Síochána have said the scene has been preserved.
The State Pathologist and the Garda Technical Bureau have been notified.
A post mortem of the body is expected to be carried out later today.
