Body found in search for mum-of-three who disappeared from West of Ireland town

A BODY has been discovered in the search of a missing mother-of-three in Co. Sligo.

Natalia Karaczyn, 30, was reported missing from her home in Crozon Park in Sligo town centre early on Sunday.

Search teams found the body of a female near Holywell Road on the outskirts of Sligo town at around 10am this morning.

A wooded area close to Lough Gill has been sealed off by Gardaí.

A 32-year-old man who was being questioned about Ms Karaczyn's disappearance was released without charge earlier this morning.

One line in the investigation is that Natalia may have been killed as part of a "personal grudge situation", according to RTE News.

Yesterday, Natalia's sister made a heartfelt appeal on Facebook for information in the case.

Magdalena McMorrow said: "My sister Natalia went out last Saturday night and has not come back. She has three children and would never have done this before.

"She went to the cinema and Garavogue after. She is believed to have gone to a house party around Crozon/Caltragh afterwards.

“We have seen the CCTV footage from Crozon Inn and we could see her walking home around 6.30am on Sunday morning; however, the CCTV can reach as far as approx 50 meters from her home in Crozon Park. She has never made it back home that morning.

"PLEASE, if you have any information, seen her or maybe have CCTV outside your house in the area, get in touch with Sligo Garda Station or myself."

Gardaí are continuing to appeal for information in relation to the movements of a beige Peugeot 308 estate car, with a partial registration number of 09 DL, on Sunday morning in the Sligo town area.

Anyone with any information about Natalia's disappearance is urged to contact Sligo Garda Station on 071 915 7000, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111 or any Garda station.
