POLICE in Hackney have confirmed that a body has been found following the search for missing man Finnian Clark.
The 25-year-old had been missing from his Finsbury Park home since Wednesday, December 2.
His disappearance was said to be completely out of character.
Police this afternoon confirmed that the five-day search had ended with the discovery of a body in Islington yesterday.
No formal identification has taken place but police have informed Mr Clark's family of the development.
Mr Clark, who was described in the police appeal as "depressed", was last seen at his Finsbury Park home at about 7.30pm on the evening of December 2.
An appeal was launched on Friday after his concerned family could not get hold of him.
"At this stage his death is not being treated as suspicious," the Metropolitan Police added.
