A BODY has been found in the search for missing Irishwoman Bronwyn Davies.
The Metropolitan Police found a body on Sunday in the search for the Belfast native in Hayes.
The 60-year-old mother-of-one had been missing since New Year’s Day.
She was a Type 1 diabetes sufferer and disappeared without her required insulin medication.
She had also left her home without money or her phone, as well as leaving half a cup of coffee in the microwave, which police believed suggested she was intending to return.
Police stood down their search following the discovery of a body in Lake Farm Country Park in Hillingdon on Sunday.
A native of Belfast, Bronwyn had moved to Dublin during the Troubles before immigrating to southern Italy in 2006.
After her daughter Ciara moved to Hayes in 2010, Bronwyn followed her over 18 months later.
31-year-old Ciara made an emotional plea for the safe return of her mother at the peak of the police search.
Police in Uxbridge are treating her death as unexplained.
